She is survived by two sons, John F. Jarvis and Tom F. Jarvis, both of Orlando, Florida; siblings, Loren and Dolores Elftman of Pigeon, Marian and Dick Freeland of Midland, Elaine and Ray Errer of Bad Axe, Leon and Leil Elftman of Pinconning, and Clark Elftman of Bay Port; in-laws, Joyce Kretzschmer of Pigeon and David and Joyce Jarvis of Anaheim, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; in-laws, Howard and Viola Jarvis; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Jarvis and Larry Kretzschmer.

Biography

Lou Ann Mary Jarvis, age 72 of Pigeon, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Covenant Hospital Cooper in Saginaw. Born in Pigeon on August 6, 1940, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Minnie A. (Schweitzer) Elftman and was a 1958 Pigeon High School graduate. On December 12, 1964 she was united in marriage to Richard L. Jarvis at Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon. Lou Ann was a homemaker throughout her lifetime. Earlier in her life she also worked at several banks. She volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital in Saginaw for many years. Lou Ann loved cooking and quilting. She always put other persons first. She was a great organizer. Family was very important to her-she was the favorite aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Lou Ann was an active, faithful member of Cross Lutheran Church, where she organized and prepared funeral lunches, overseas ministry packages, and assisted with many other projects.
