Services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 11am at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Rev. Jay Barsaleau. Burial in Verona Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1-8pm, or Thursday from 10am until the service time at 11am. Memorials may be offered to the Claude Marsh Scholarship Fund or to that of the donor's choice.
Surviving is his wife Carol Henny of Bad Axe. A daughter; Cyndy (Jay) Gusler of Cypress, TX. 3 grandchildren; Taylor, Nicholas and Benjamin Gusler of Cypress, TX. 1 brother; Carl (Patsy) Henny of California. 2 Sisters; Helen Henny of Bad Axe and Emily (James) Wiley of Clio. Mother in Law; Elizabeth Binder of Bad Axe, Brother in Law; Ralph Binder of Bad Axe. Sister in Law; Sharon Binder of Bad Axe. Several nieces and nephews.
William J. Henny, age 76 of Bad Axe, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 2nd, 1937 in Bad Axe, son of the late Conrad and Helen (Koch) Henny. He married Carol Binder on June 15, 1963 in Bad Axe. Bill was the owner-operator of Henny's Towne and Country Florist of Bad Axe for 28 years. He was enrolled in the Michigan State University Horticulture Program as well as the Hixson's Design School for florists. He was a member of the Bad Axe Lions Club and served in the U.S. Marines from 1956 to 1959.
