Funeral Mass for Agnes Jimpkoski will be at 11:00 Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church of the Annunciation of the Lord Parish in Port Austin, with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating. Visitation will be held at the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde on Tuesday, from 2-8 pm and at the Church on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of Mass at 11:00. There will be a vigil on Tuesday evening at 7:00 in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

Agnes is survived by her children: Betty (Jim) Wright, LA; Patricia Jahn, Port Austin; Gerald (Marlene) Jimpkoski, Port Austin; Dennis (Cathy) Jimpkoski, Kinde; Dale (Brenda) Jimpkoski, Port Austin: Twelve Grandchildren; Michelle, Cheryl, Jimmie, Terry, Julia, Tina, Joe, Sandy, Katie, Kyle, David, Deana and Amanda: 19 Great-Grandchildren; Monica, Julia, Evonna, Brandi, Carl, Carl, Wyatt, Rosie, Terry, Salina, Matt, Maggie, Madlyn, James, Brendt, Jason, Kylee, Britney and Jessica: 8 Great-Great- Grandchildren; Desentie, Dylan, Cambrie, Chole, Jack, Jammie, Emily, Athena and Coen. She is also survived by her sisters: Irene Osentowski, Detroit; Celica (Pete) Myers, Warren; and Eleanor (Simon) Kalka, Sterling Heights, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons; Arthur and john; three grandchildren, Michael Delahoussaye, Joshua Jimpkoski, and Darcy Jimpkowski; Four Brothers, John, Casimer, Sylvester and Frank; three sisters, Regina Murawski, Theresa Nowak, Bernice Kalkulak.

Biography

Agnes G. Jimpkoski, 96, of Port Austin, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Courtney Manor. Bad Axe, Michigan. She was born April 3, 1920 in Dwight Township, the daughter of Steve and Margaret (Horetski) Leavine. Agnes and Edward Jimpkoski were married at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Port Austin on November 3, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1983. She loved to cook and visit and also loved relaxing in the sun. Agnes worked at the Harbor House Restaurant in Port Austin for 23 years.
