Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am, Wednesday, March 25th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Howe officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 – 8 pm on Tuesday, March 24th at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe with scripture service at 7 pm and from 10 am until time of service on Wednesday, March 25th at the church. Betty is survived by her son Thomas (Laura) Miller of Oakland Township; daughters Sandra (Ron) Osantoski of Bad Axe and Deborah Espurvoa of Oak Beach; fifteen grandchildren: Kirstyn, Julia, Jordan, Rhonda, David, Mishell, Jacqueline, Robin, Nathan, Jamie, Rebecca, Jessica, Rachael, Alicia, and Sarah; twenty great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughters Elaine McIntyre, Janet Crandall, Cheryl Meinhold; grandson A.J.; and seven brothers and sisters.
Betty Irene Miller, 88, formerly of Caseville Township and Bad Axe, passed away on March 21, 2015 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester, Michigan. Betty was born on October 18, 1926 to the late Henry and Theo May (Burlingame) Lewis in East Lansing. On June 7, 1947, she married Thomas “Barney” Miller. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1987. Betty was a graduate from Arthur Hills Saginaw High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe and St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville. Betty was a long time Huron County resident, living here for fifty years – twenty of those years in Caseville. She worked as the Credit Manager at the Sears store in Bad Axe for twenty years before she retired in 1988.
