Funeral Information

Funeral Mass for Charlene will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at 12pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of the Holy Apostle Parish, with Fr. Peter Nwokoye officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for Charlene will be Sunday, from 1-9pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday will begin at 11 am at the church until time of services at 12 noon. A Rosary Service will be held at 7pm by the Christian Mothers.

Charlene is survived by her husband Robert Hessling of Ruth, and children: Shelly Scholtz and her husband Brian of Harbor Beach, Duane Hessling of Pigeon, Charles Hessling of Ruth, and Kim Abdo and her husband Bassen of Swartz Creek, mother Gladys Priemer of Ruth, 6 grandchildren, brother Jerome Priemer Jr and his wife Brenda of North Carolina, and sister Janice Fisher and her husband bob of Florida.

Biography

Charlene M. Hessling, age 62 of Ruth, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at her home under hospice care. She was born on March 24, 1951 in Bad Axe to Gladys (Messing) Priemer and the late Jerome Priemer. Charlene and Robert Hessling were united in marriage on July 19, 1969 in Ruth. She was a member of Ruth Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of the Holy Apostle Parish, and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, farming, bike riding, and especially her grandchildren.
