The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Kinde, with Fr. Andy Booms presiding and interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 – 9 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home-Gage Chapel in Kinde with rosary at 3:00 pm by the St. Mary’s Altar Sodality and scripture at 7:00 pm, and Thursday from 9 – 10:30 am at the Gage Chapel. She is survived by her husband, John “Jack” F. Wisneski, whom she married on November 21, 1964 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and celebrated 48 years of marriage. Also surviving are three sons, Ken (Doris) of Kinde, Dan (Lisa) of Bay City and Paul (Christine) of Midland; a daughter, Luanne (Greg) Grocholski of Bay City; grandchildren, Joshua (Kimberly) and Jacob Grocholski, Anastasia, Anthony, Katie, Ericka, Claire and Tyler Wisneski; one great-grandchild , Oliver Grocholski; brothers, Gene (Linda) Hanson of Cass City, Jay of Jacksonville, FL, Ross of Caro, Terry (Mary Ann) of Bad Axe; one sister, Joy (Elmer) Linner of Beloit, WI; a sister-in-law, Sharon Hanson of Ubly; brothers-in-law, Jim (Peg) Wisneski of Bay City, Bill (Mary) Wisneski, Fred (Christine) Wisneski and Gerald Ahearn of Kinde; a sister-in-law, Veronica (Floyd) Grocholski of Bay City; many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Hanson; sisters-in-law, Alice Hanson, Mary Wisneski, Karen Hanson and Carol Ahearn; father and mother in-law, Walter and Lottie (Baranski) Wisneski. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Huron County Medical Care Facility for their support and special care.
Dawn Wisneski, 67, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 with her family at her side at the Huron County Medical Care Facility after a short illness. Dawn was born on October 19, 1945 in Bad Axe, MI to the late Glen and Glendora (Avery) Hanson. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, great-grandmother and friend of many-Dawn will be missed greatly. She had an immense love of her husband and family and enjoyed garage sales, cooking and baking, travel, and gardening. She graduated from Bad Axe High School, Class of 1964. Dawn was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, of Kinde and a member of its Altar Sodality. Prior to retiring, she was employed at several companies including Hamill Manufacturing and General Cable.
