Funeral service will be 11 am Friday, March 20th at the First Baptist Church in Bad Axe with Pastor Jay T. Barsaleau officiating. Burial will be at New River Cemetery in Port Austin. Visitation will be 2 – 8 pm on Thursday, March 19th at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe and from 10 am until time of service on Friday, March 20th at the church. Family of the Deceased

Delores is survived by her husband, Floyd, of 54 years; son Rick (Connie) Haist of Kinde; daughter Joy (Ted) Aichler of Saline; grandchildren Christopher and Amanda Haist of Kinde; brother Kenneth Hall of Bad Axe; sister Eleanor Hall of Bad Axe; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Thrushman and brothers Melvin, Clarence and Clifford Hall.

Biography

Delores E. Haist, 78, of Lincoln Township, passed away on March 16, 2015 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital in Bay City. Delores was born on April 14, 1936 to the late Fred & Mary (Pochert) Hall in Port Hope. Delores graduated from Port Hope High School in 1954. Delores was a member of First Baptist Church in Bad Axe. She married J. Floyd Haist on November 25, 1960 in Howell, Michigan. Delores was a dedicated homemaker, enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
