Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 PM Monday, September 29, at Salem United Methodist Church, Pigeon. Rev. David Stewart, pastor will officiate with burial in Grandlawn Cemetery, Pigeon. Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Sunday and at the church after 1:30 Monday. Surviving are three children, Randy (Janet) Krohn of Elkton, Brenda (Jack) Gleason of Elkton and Becky (Eric) Wachowicz of Bay City, daughter-in-law, Barb Krohn of Pigeon; five grandchildren, Janelle (Rahila) Krohn of Cambridge, England, Suzie Krohn of Pigeon, Ashley Wichert of Pigeon, Elizabeth (Alex Turner)Wichert of Muskegon and Sara Wachowicz of Bay City; great grandson, Isaac; siblings, Ruth Ann (Don) Ewald of Pigeon, Ronald (Cathy) Kreh of Mt Clemens and Phyllis (Tim) Crotser of Bay City; sister-in-law, Barb Krohn of Elkton; brother-in-law, Richard Hall, DO of Cass City and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her husband, Ron; son, Dave Krohn; in-laws, Marge Hall, Bruce and Kenneth Krohn.
Donna J. Krohn age 76, of Elkton went home to her Lord, Thursday afternoon, September 25, from multiple health problems. She was born October 5, 1937 to the late Milton and Isabel (Heron) Kreh in Pigeon. On February 15, 1958, she was united in marriage to Ronald L. Krohn at the Elkton Evangelical United Brethren Church. They raised their family on a farm near Souletown and moved into Elkton after retiring. After graduating from cosmetology school, Donna opened her own shop, Krohn’s Kountry Korner. Years later, she worked as a clerk at Thumb Hardware and had been a teller at Independent Bank, Elkton. Donna loved children and music, she desired them to know Jesus, so she began and directed cherub choir/kids choir at both Salem and Elkton United Methodist Churches for about 25 years. She enjoyed traveling with her family, collecting and restoring antiques, her bible study group and spending time with her children, grandchildren and siblings. Donna had a deep love for all the people she met. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Club 59, “Small Group” bible study and former member of Elkton United Methodist Church.
