Funeral service for Dorothy will take place at 12 noon on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Jeanette Thomas, and her husband James, of Nampa, Idaho; six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald W. Pariseau, and her son, Donald R. Pariseau.

Biography

Dorothy Pearl Pariseau, age 101, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2017 in Nampa, Idaho. She was born on September 14, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan. Dorothy grew up in Detroit, Michigan and played the clarinet in the marching band at school. She married Ronald Pariseau on August 27, 1935 and moved to Bad Axe, Michigan where he worked at Elkton Machine Shop as a tool and die maker. Dorothy worked as a waitress at nightclubs while her husband played piano in a band. They loved being out on the boat and fishing in Bay Port, Michigan. She always caught a fish even when nobody else did. She loved gardening, canning, baking, crocheting doilies and going to church with her friend, Kay White. In 2004, Dorothy moved to Nampa, Idaho, to spend time with her daughter, Jeanette. In 2010, she moved to Karcher Estates for care after falling and breaking her hip.
