Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, December 8th at the St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne with Rev. Steven Neuman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Saturday at the church and continue until the service time. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. She is survived by her children Sharon (Norman) Trier of Davenport, Iowa, Eldon Jr. (LuAnn) of Mankato, Minnesota and James (Susan) Sting of Pigeon; grandchildren Luke, Paul, Ruth, Seth, Caleb, Joshua, Rachel, Sarah, David, Deborah, Emily, Daniel and Andrew; 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Dorothy Belle Sting, 94, of Pigeon, died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Home Sweet Home in Pigeon. Dorothy was born February 17, 1924 in Peck to the late Carl and Ruth (Keck) Sharrard. She married Eldon Carl Sting on October 22, 1949 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne; he preceded her in death December 30, 1979. She retired from EPBP Laker Schools as a business teacher. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne and the church’s women’s society. She was a talented stained glass artist, having made many of the windows for her church’s addition. She enjoyed quilting and flower gardening.
