Funeral Information

Per Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. A memorial mass will be held 11 am on Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Dwight Township with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Annunciation of the Lord Parish. Condolences can be shared at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com

Family of the Deceased

Doug is survived by his son, Scott Polega of Port Austin; his brother-in-law, Norm Zimmer of Mayville; his sister-in-law, Faye Ignash of Birmingham; his nieces, Stephanie (Bob) Paris and Michelle Ignash; two great nephews, Nathan and William; one great niece, Charlotte; his special friend, Carolyn Homrich. He is also survived by many close friends including Tony Voltz, Donny Hartz and Sheryl Faust along with his favorite dogs, Stella and Dolly. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Patrick and Duane Ignash, his sister, Charlene Zimmer and his fiancée, Amy McDonnell.

Biography

Douglas K. Ignash, 56, of Kinde, passed away on July 19, 2017 at his home. Doug was born in Bad Axe on February 10, 1961 to the late Leonard and Esther (Wruble) Ignash. He graduated from North Huron High School in 1980. Doug’s passion was farming and working on his land. He also enjoyed taking long drives, and visiting his many friends along the way.
