A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 15, 2019 at St. Hubert Parish-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Rapson at 11 am. Officiating will be Fr. Robe Howe. Friends may call for visitation on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe from 10 am – 8 pm or Friday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am. Douglas is survived by his mother, Alice Sadro of Bad Axe. His wife, lifelong friend and partner, Margaret Sadro of Bad Axe. One son, Alan (Amanda) Sadro of Bad Axe. One daughter, Katie (Kyle) Protzman of Caseville. One sister, Joy (Wally) Tenbusch of Bad Axe. Four grandchildren, Logen and Shelby Sadro of Bad Axe, Allison and Taylor Protzman of Caseville.

Biography

Douglas Sadro, age 58, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Covenent Cooper Healthcare in Saginaw, following a short illness. Doug was born December 18, 1960 in Bad Axe, son of Alice (Terbrack) Sadro and the late Kenneth Sadro. He married Margaret Krug on February 21, 1981 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Doug was well known business owner, owning a livestock trucking company, Sadro Transport, LLC. . He had a strong work ethic and was very committed to anyone asking him to provide a service. Doug enjoyed spending time with his family, especially adoring his grandchildren. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. His many stories and anecdotes will never be forgotten.
