Funeral Services for Edith will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 1 pm at Our Lady of Lake Huron Church of the Holy Name of Mary Parish in Harbor Beach. Burial will follow in the OLLH Cemetery. Visitation for Edith will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church beginning at 12pm until time of services at 1pm. A parish vigil service will take place Tuesday at 7 pm in the funeral home. She is survived by 2 sons; Thomas Hurren and his wife Nancy of Montague, Norman Hurren and his wife Joyce of Carsonville, 1 brother Norman Zurick and his wife Cathy of Port Huron, Daughter-in-Law Bonnie Hurren of Harbor Beach. Edith is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Ken, one son Jack, and her sister Sylvia Zurek.

Biography

Edith G. Hurren, age 86 of Harbor Beach, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born on May 23, 1928 in Harbor Beach to the late Philip and Frances (Gwizdella) Zurick. Edith and Kenneth Hurren were united in marriage in Harbor Beach on October 19, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2000. Edith was a long-time employee of Charlie Klump’s Restaurant of Harbor Beach and the Harbor Beach Post Office. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of Harbor Beach and she enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren.
