Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am, Friday, July 3 at St. Mary Catholic Church of St. Isidore Parish in Parisville. Rev. Todd Arnberg, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at church from 9:00 am until the mass at 11:00. There will be a rosary by the St. Mary Rosary Sodality at 10:30 at church. She is survived by one grandson, Chris Staroska of Minden City; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Ed) Staroska McCoy of Wheat Ridge, Colo., one brother, Norman Lemanski of Bad Axe; one sister, Elsie Palach of Harbor Beach; one great grandson, Roman Staroska McCoy. Edna was preceded in death by two daughters, infant Sherry Jaskowski and Dollene Staroska Reder; one son, Danny Jaskowski; her siblings, Loretta Miller, Rose Peruski, Marshall Lemanski, Doris Lemanski, Marie Pulcer and Leonard Lemanski.

Biography

Mrs. Edna M. Jaskowski, 91 of Harbor Beach, formerly of Minden City, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Lakeview Extended Care Facility in Harbor Beach. She was born on October 29, 1923 in Harbor Beach to the late Boleslaus “Barney” and Agnes (Zurek) Lemanski. She married Frank Jaskowski on October 18, 1941 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1991. Edna was an eighth grade graduate of the Filmore Country School of Sand Beach. She worked as a domestic nanny in Detroit. She farmed with her husband until retiring to her home on Atwater Road. Edna was a lifelong parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville where she was very involved in the church. She worked as the housekeeper and cook for the priests. She was an honorary member of the Rosary Sodality and worked for many years at the parish festival. Edna was a woman of many talents, including baking, gardening, needlework, and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing Pokeno and listening to country music, especially Conway Twitty.
