Funeral Information

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Family of the Deceased

Edward is survived by his children: Mark (Mary Ann) Janke of Sebewaing, Lee (Heather) Janke of Colorado, Alan (Kathleen) Janke of Vassar and Jill (Wayne) Sheldon of Belmont; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters: Nelda Gnagey and Marlene Brewster; and many nieces and nephews. Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Norma; and brother, Kenneth Janke.

Biography

Edward C. Janke, age 86, of Sebewaing, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home. Edward was born February 29, 1928 in Brookfield Twp., the son of the late Herman and Bertha (Menzel) Janke. On September 6, 1952 he married Norma Pommerenke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She preceded him in death on February 9, 1991. Edward enjoyed bowling, farming, talking about farming, crop checking and watching the Detroit Tigers.
