Visitation will be on 3 – 8 pm on Sunday, August 30th at the MacAlpine Funeral home and 10 am until time of service on Monday. Memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society. Beth is survived by her daughters: Lani Coyle of Mt. Clemens, Jo Elyn (Jeff) Ensroth of St. Clair Shores and Dawn Colpaert of Mt. Clemens; grandchildren Erin (Mike) Kenel and Timothy Coyle, Corrie (Luke) Beaverson and Ian (Jenn) Ensroth, Kyle (Jimmy) Stevens, Bret, and Kristian (Maria) Colpaert; great-grandsons Nicholas Backus and Hunter Colpaert, and great-granddaughters Chloe and Audrey Beaverson and Michael Sophia Kenel; sister Greta Nicholls of Port Austin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Oliver & Ida Rapson; brothers Lon, Robert, Clark Rapson; sisters Mary Ann Webster, Oura Sparling, Josephine Kegel, Heather Armstead, Phyla Backstrom, Floris Knox and brother-in-law Stewart Hawkins.

Biography

Elizabeth “Beth” Jane Haynes, 85, formerly of Caseville Township, passed away on August 27, 2015 at Lakepointe Senior Care and Rehab Center in Clinton Township. Beth was born in Bad Axe on August 20, 1930 to the late Edward and Flossie (Penno) Hawkins. Beth was raised by the Oliver Rapson family. She graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1948. Beth married her high school sweetheart Raymond Wollenzien, on August 19, 1950 at the Bad Axe Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1979. She then married Charles Haynes on June 1, 1985 at the St. Clair Shores Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2004. Beth was an administrative secretary for Lake Shore Public Schools for many years. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and playing cards with her girlfriends.
