A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Frieburg. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the MacAlpine Funeral Home, 302 N. Hanselman St. Bad Axe, MI, Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with scripture at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Ervin is survived by his wife, Rosella; Sons, Melvin of Snover, Daniel (Ellie) of Ubly, David (Jane Ann) of Ubly, Raymond (Kelly) of Ubly and Dennis (Michelle) of Ubly; daughters Shirley (Ken) Glaza of Decker, Virginia (Maurice) Bensinger of Brown City, and Sharon (John) Bower of Emmett, and Melissa Gentner of Ruth; Brother Leonard (Sharon) Sadro of Ubly, Sisters Phyllis from California, Joyce in Lewiston, Myrtle (Leonard) Schumacher in Ubly, and Mildred Pfuhl of New Baltimore; 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Myrtle; daughter-in-law Sherri, and brothers-in-law Edward, James and Richard.
Ervin Sadro, 78, of Austin Township, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was born on July 29, 1935 in Huron County, the son of Leonard and Myrtle (Groth) Sadro. He was united in marriage to Rosella Young on October 8, 1955 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Frieberg, Michigan. Ervin graduated from Ubly in 1954. He worked at Earl C. Smith Trucking for twenty years and also at Parker Motor Freight. Ervin’s hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Frieberg.
