Funeral Information

The family would especially like to thank the staff at the Huron Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe and Compassus Hospice for all the love and attention they gave to Flora in her final years. They would also like to thank all those who participated in bringing her Communion at Medical Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11 am at St. Hubert Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Fr. Rob Howe. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Ubly. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 2 – 8 pm or Saturday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am. Flora is survived by: One daughter – Betty Younglove of Cass City. Four sons- Paul (Gail) Prill of Mayville, Ray (Diane) Prill of New York, Alexander (Theresa) Prill of Bad Axe, Ed (Cheryl) Prill of Bad Axe. One daughter-in-law – Laura Prill of Elkton. One sister – Cynthia Meldrum of Bad Axe. One sister-in-law – Ann Hubbard of Port Huron. Nineteen grandchildren. Forty great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Prill. Daughter – Mary Neal. Son – William T. Prill. Son-in-laws – William Neal and William Younglove. Four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Biography

Flora E. Prill, age 86, of Bad Axe, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. Flora was born on July 30, 1932, daughter of the late David and Augusta (Putze) Hubbard. She married Thomas J. Prill on November 6, 1948. Flora farmed with her husband, enjoyed selling Tupperware and worked as an aide at the Ubly Elementary School for 19 years. Flora was a member of the St. Hubert Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. In her retirement years, she enjoyed winters in Florida.
