Memorials can be made to the Courtney Manor Activity Dept or family discretionary fund (c/o Connie Schroen) Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 11 am at St. Hubert Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Visiting at the church will be from 10 am until the service time at 11 am. Due to Covid-19 pandemic face mask are required. Frances is survived by her daughters: Lisa (Charles) Fastenau of Pt Hope and Connie Schroen of Bad Axe; Grandchildren Raymond Fastenau, Anthony Fastenau, Rachel Janik, Sara (Eric) Rutkowski, Samantha Janik ( fiance Ethan Sisco) and Phillip Fastenau (fiancee Shelby Cooper); Great grandchildren Rhett and Ellory Rutkowski. Brother: Leo (Debra) Kondziolka, Warren,MI Sisters: Marcella Gauthreaux, Winnie, TX, Marion (Charles) Licavoli, Pt. Richey, FL, Caroline O'Patik, Warren, MI, Loretta Lewis, Warren, MI, And Sister -n- law Pamela Kondziolka, Macomb, MI. Along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Casimer & Cecelia Kondziolka, brother David Kondziolka and great grandson Colt Rutkowski. And her ex-husband, the father of her children, Arthur Schroen Fran's family would like to send a Thank you to the CNA's and nursing staff of Courtney Manor for the wonderful care their mother received while she was there.

Biography

Frances Schroen, 80, of Bad Axe, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born on June 5, 1940 to the late Casimer and Cecelia (Miller) Kondziolka. She worked many years at Huron Medical Care Facility as a CNA. She always had a smile on her face, loved to dance, do crafts, word search, sewing and collecting teapots. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her great grandson Rhett.
