Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Randy will be Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2pm at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Ron Schultz officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment to follow at Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Randy will be Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Sunday will be at the church beginning at 1pm until time of services at 2pm. A Scripture Service will take place Saturday at 7:45 pm at the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Randy can be given to Zion Lutheran Church, the Zion Lutheran School, or the Harbor Beach Athletic Association. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Family of the Deceased

Randy is survived by his wife Andrea Rapson of Harbor Beach, his siblings: Rhonda Cook and her husband Rich of Bad Axe, Paula Wood and her husband Tom of Harbor Beach, and David Rapson and his wife Ellen of Traverse City, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Biography

GEORGE RANDALL RAPSON, age 60, of Harbor Beach, passed away Thursday, April 09, 2015. Randy was born on February 5, 1955 in Harbor Beach to the late George and Shirley (Fuhrman) Rapson. He and Andrea Beck were united in marriage on August 29, 1987. Randy was the owner and operator of the family business, Rapson Electric Inc.. Randy worked at the store for over 50 years, working alongside his father and uncle for many years. Randy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, was a Trustee of the church, and a member of Thrivent Financial. Randy was President of the Harbor Beach Alumni Association for many years, was a member of the Harbor Beach Community Choir where he was the narrator. He coached Babe Ruth Baseball, and drove the school bus. Randy was a Detroit Tiger Baseball fan, and a Harbor Beach Pirate Fan. He made sure all the yard work was done properly and he always had a smile and joke for everyone he saw.
