Services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 6 pm. at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Sutton, pastor of the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church. Gary is survived by: 1 Son-Gary (Ashley) Soper of Harbor Beach. 2 Daughters-Karen (Brad) Peyerk of Harbor Beach. Deborah (Gary) Bailey of Bad Axe. 1 Brother-Brian (Laurie) Soper of Bad Axe. 2 Sisters-Ellen Carroll of Sebewaing. Audrey “Kay” (Jack) Cummings of Bay Port. 7 Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: Brother-Melvin Soper. Sister-Meg Wagner. Nephew-Matthew Soper.

Biography

Gary A. Soper, age 65, of Port Austin, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015, at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital in Bay City. Gary was born April 18, 1950 in Bad Axe, son of the late Arthur and Ida (Wressel) Soper. He enjoyed doing word puzzles, country music, country cruising and spending time with family and friends.
