GENE FRANCIS BOOMS, age 70, would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Gene’s new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be driving truck, socializing and fishing. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious. He left detailed instructions for his wife and children to celebrate his mission here, which has now been completed. This is the story of Gene Francis Booms. Gene passed away on October 3, 2018, peacefully with family at the bedside. He was born on March 2, 1948 to the late Clarence and Laura Booms. He married his high school sweetheart, Emily Briolat on September 7, 1968. He worked many years as an over the road semi-truck driver for Booms Silo Co., Roggenbuck Farms and JW Hunt, where he enjoyed God’s creation. He was owner and operator of the Corner Store and ECB Enterprises where he relished visiting the local community.
