Funeral Information

Funeral Services for George will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11 am at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dennis Cupery officiating. Cremation at Sunset Valley Crematory will follow. Military Honors will be given by the American Legion Post 197 of Harbor Beach at the church. Visitation for George will be Sunday from 1-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11am. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and the Humane Society.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie Arwine of Harbor Beach, Children: Sandra Wright and her husband Jeffery of Royal Oak, Randal Arwine and his wife Kathy of Macomb, Nancy Mavers of Oceanside, CA, and Daniela Arwine and his wife Vidalia of Oceanside, CA, 11 grandchildren and one future great grandson due in August. Sister Florence (Paul) Dunsford of Marlette. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Richard Mavers, and sister Marilee Perez.

Biography

George E. Arwine, age 80 of Harbor Beach, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at Port Huron Hospital. He was born on November 14, 1932 in Royal Oak to the late Victor and Eva Mae (Banish) Wilson. George Served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He and Marjorie Mentzzer were united in marriage April 2, 1954 in Pontiac. George was a member of the American Legion Post 197 of Harbor Beach, and the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Harbor Beach. He loved to golf, and was an avid gardener. George especially loved being with his family and grandchildren.
