Funeral Mass for Gerald will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of the Holy Apostles Parish, with Fr. Christopher Coman officiating. Burial will take place at SSPP Church Cemetery. Visitation for Gerald will be on Friday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Kramer of Harbor Beach, his children: Geralyn ( Chris) Quick of Northville, Colleen (Ray) Van Goethem of West Branch, Bridget (Roy) Siemen of Merrill,WI Shelley (Lorne) Robinson of New Hudson, William (Betty) Kramer of Ann Arbor, step children: Debbie (Allen) Brandow of Harbor Beach, Charlotte (Don) Bredow of Bad Axe, Judy (Bob) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Susan (Mark) Sweeney of Cass City, Richard Hoffman of Harbor Beach, and special friend Joann Volmering, 14 grandchildren, 17 step grandchildren, 21 step great grandchildren, siblings: Daniel (Jean) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Merlin (Sandy) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Marvin (Janet) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Yvonne (Louis) Bushey of Caseville, Bernadette Thompson of Sylvania, OH, Mary Fran (Terry) Woycehowski of Clio, and sister-in-law Joyce Mays of Swartz Creek. Gerald was preceded in death by a son Brent, brother Joseph Kramer, sister-in-law Linda Kramer, Brother-in-law John Thompson, nephews: Todd Bushey and Joel Kramer.
Gerald Kramer, age 81 of Harbor Beach, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital in Port Huron, surrounded by his family He was born on February 5, 1937 in Ruth to the late Stewart & Mary (Booms) Kramer. Gerald Served in the US Army, in Germany from 1957-1959. Gerald married Phyllis Ulfig on May 31, 1959. She preceded him in death on May 8, 1981. Gerald married Mary Lou Halifax - Hoffman on February 20, 1982 in Harbor Beach. Gerald was an active member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, of the Holy Apostles Parish, and was a former board member of the SSPP School, a lifelong member of the Ruth Knights of Columbus, and a former board member of the Coop Elevator. He was a lifelong farmer, who enjoyed fixing and tinkering with tractors, playing cards with family and dancing the night away.
