Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will be at a later time at the Grant Township Cemetery in Gagetown. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Forget-Me-Nots or the donor’s favorite charity. Hazen is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Beverly & James Copeland of Gagetown, LouAnn & Mark Dean of Midland; five grandchildren, Bradley & Karen Copeland of Traverse City, Melissa & Ross Kershner of Sanford, Jodi Lozon of Mason, Brent Harger of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Jessica Harger of Mt. Pleasant; three great-granddaughters, Alexis Marr, Kayla and Jenna Lozon; one sister and her husband, Onallee & Bill Trachsel; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Hazen was preceded in death by one sister and her husband, Ella & Wilfred Petzold; and four brothers, Basil, Dale, Harold and Raymond Parker.
Hazen J. Parker of Caro, age 91, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro, with his loving family by his side. Hazen was born May 30, 1925, the son of the late John and Gertrude (Webster) Parker. He attended grade school at Brookfield #1 and graduated from Owendale High School in 1943. On December 2, 1944, Hazen was united in marriage with the former Joyce Lucht, and together the couple celebrated seventy years of marriage prior to Joyce’s death on January 14, 2015. Hazen and Joyce enjoyed many winters at their home at Saddlebag Lake Resort in Florida. He enjoyed traveling and playing cards and games with family and friends, along with taking care of his lawn and beautiful flowers
