James is survived by his children, Michelle McClellan of Arizona and James “Jeff” (Lisa) Fligger of Richmond. Grandchildren – Brett McClellan of Illinois, Brenna McClellan of Arizona, Sean, Heather, Brendan Fligger of Richmond and Shelby Fligger of Royal Oak. Sisters – Virginia “Marie” (Edward) Mroczek of Sandusky and Bernadine “Bernie” Janowiak of Bad Axe. Brothers – Marvin Fligger of Lake Orion, Ralph “Herb” (Eleanor) Fligger of Bad Axe and John (Sandra) Fligger of Filion. Special friend – Mary Hagen. Many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death his brothers, Alexander “Bob” Fligger and Elmer “Red” Fligger. Brother-in-law- Herbert Janowiak.

Biography

James Fligger, age 81, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his home in Ubly. James was born March 5, 1937 in Verona Township, son of the late Alexander and Virginia (Grifka) Fligger. James served his country in the US Army. He worked as a self-employed electrician for many years and then worked for Cal Star in Arkansas for 12 years before retiring. He invented and manufactured Jiffy Fiber Tumbler. James enjoyed rebuilding classic cars, woodworking, dancing, bird watching and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and playing with his dogs, Jasmin and Dottie.
