Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, May 9, at the Elkton Missionary Church. Rev. Reggie Courless, pastor will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton. Friends may call at the champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Wednesday and at the church after 10 AM Thursday. Surviving are his loving wife, Doloris; children, David (Debbie Sheridan) Edwards of Tampa, FL, Frances (Michael) Clark of Mason and Margaret (John) Fogarty of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Rebecca (Benjamin) DeCess of Mason, Sean and Ian Fogarty of Colorado Springs, CO, Brian (Jessica) Clark of Chicago, IL, Steve Clark of Oslo, Norway and Molly Clark of Chicago, IL; two great grandchildren, Meghan and Mallory DeCess; brothers, Jerry (Sandra) Perkins of Perry and Bill (Jerri) Perkins of Detroit, sister-in-law, Joeva Bukoski of Ubly; brother-in-law, Carl (Ilene) Franzel of Ubly and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were five sisters, Shirley, Evelyn, Doris, Irene and twin, June.
He was born October 7, 1932, in Berkley to the late Alfred and Thelma (Fitchett) Perkins. Bud served in the US Army during the Korean War, when he returned as a mason with Union Local 1098 in Saginaw and later with Rooney Construction, Bad Axe retiring in 1987. He also farmed the family farm in Oliver Twp. until his retirement. On September 15, 1976, he was united in marriage to Doloris Schiestal at the Elkton Missionary Church.
