Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Howe officiating. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; a daughter Theresa (Thomas) Wright of Howell, Michigan and a son Kris (Rebecca) Kranz of Bear Lake, Michigan; 10 grandchildren, Chandler, Hazel, Hannah, Magdalain, Victor, Rachel, Micah, Dominik, Kateri and Agnes; several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by a brother, William LeJeune.

Biography

Jean Kranz, 72, of Colfax Township, passed away Tuesday, April 08, 2014, at Courtney Manor Nursing Home in Bad Axe. She was born September 26, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Victor and Jenny (Bagnasco) LeJeune. Jean was united in marriage to Kenneth Kranz on April 5, 1975 at the Sacred Catholic Church. She graduated from North Huron High School and attended Central Michigan University. During her younger days, Jean worked at Chuck and Jane’s Restaurant and was secretary at the Port Austin Air Base. She enjoyed all water sports including, swimming, boating and water skiing.
