Family of the Deceased

Joann married Walter G. Lasceski on April 24, 1987 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kinde, Michigan. He survives her. Also surviving are three sons: Brian (fiancé Carol) Hoody, Kerry (Julie) Hoody, and Gordon (Kayla) Lasceski; grandchildren, John and Brad Hoody, Laken and Mckenna Hoody, Sara (Eric) Pichla, Anastasia Lasceski, Logan and Brandon Berry; great granddaughter, Maci Pichla; four sisters, Marlene (Gerald) Jimpkowski, Karen (Chuck) Koroleski, Jackie Blossom, and Mary (John) Craig; brother in law, Thomas (Diane) Lasceski; sisters in law, Veronica Duda and Cecelia Szuran; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her father and mother in law, Gordon and Anastasia Lasceski, nephew, Joshua Jimpkowski and brothers in law, Frank Duda and Andrew Szuran.

Biography

Joann Rita Lasceski, 68, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dearest friend was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, September 10, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Joann was born April 8, 1948 to the late Frank and Bernice (Watchowski) Navock. She graduated from Port Austin High School and was employed in many capacities including working at the Port Austin Level Factory. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and her farm animals.
