Funeral Information

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Parish in Bad Axe. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 1 - 8pm. Thursday at the church from 10am until the service time at 11am. A scripture service will be offered Wednesday at 7pm. at the Kaufman Funeral Home.

Family of the Deceased

John is survived by his wife Susan of Bad Axe. Son, Josh (Toni) Ahearn of Potterville. Two daughters Shelly (Steven) Culp of Gurnee, IL. and Robin Ahearn of Bad Axe. Four grandchildren, Riley and Katherine Ahearn of Potterville, Collin Ahearn of Bad Axe, and Sophie Culp of Gurnee, IL. Father-in-law, Harold Deeg of Unionville. Four brothers, Tom Ahearn of Grindstone City, Frank (Linda) Ahearn of Bad Axe, Bob Ahearn of the Bad Axe, and Brian (Eileen) Ahearn of Warren. Three sisters, Marlene Corl, Kathleen (Ricardo) Barreda of Duncanville, TX, Mary (LeRoy) Havens of Croswell. Several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Ahearn, and one sister, Bridget Lanstra

Biography

John Ahearn, age 59 of Bad Axe, passed away on Sunday, October 20th, 2013 at his home following an extended illness. He was born on October 29, 1953 in Bad Axe, son of the late Thomas and MaryAnn (shine) Ahearn. He married Susan Deeg on August 31, 1985 in Sebewaing. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
