A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Hubert Parish – Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 1 – 8 pm or Tuesday at the church from 9:30 am until the service time at 10:30 am. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be held on Monday at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. A scripture service will be offered at 7 pm at the funeral home. Josephine was succeeded in death by her husband, Stanley Wolschlager of Sheridan Township, four days following her date of death. Son - Gordon (Rhonda) Wolschlager of Fort Collins, CO. Daughter - Rose Ann Hinman of Macomb, special friend (Rob) Daughter-in-law – Jo Wolschlager of Bad Axe. Sister - Jenny (Russell) Woodliff of Lincoln Park In-Laws- Kenneth (Audrey) Wolschlager, Lorraine Wolschlager Grandchildren – Seth (Lauren) Wolschlager, Jared(Marie) Wolschlager, Todd Wolschlager, Renee (Ed) Boyd, Ryan Hinman special friend (Vicki), Martin Wolschlager and Jill (Gavin) Bowers. Great Grandchildren-Wyatt and Eliana Boyd Many nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by: Son – Steven Wolschlager. Two Daughters – Judith Lynn Wolschlager and Baby Stella Agnes Wolschlager. In-Laws- Raymond, Archie, Wilmer (Marion), Melvin, Elgin(MaryJane)Wolschlager, Evelyn(Henne) Ochoa, Ernestina(Ralph) Volmering (Elmer)Hessling, Harry Ozanic.
Josephine Wolschlager, age 84, of Sheridan Township, went to be with the Lord Dec 1, 2018. She passed away in the arms of her loving husband, Stanley. Josephine was born in Toronto, Canada on July 15, 1934, daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Fliss)Pikula. She married Stanley Wolschlager on September 4, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Josephine was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and had served as the president of the Alter Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle 608 for over 50 years, serving as a recording secretary, trustee and regent. Josephine also served as Township Clerk of Sheridan Township. She worked in the Banking industry for 40 years. She enjoyed canning, making popcorn balls for Halloween, quilting, crocheting, gardening, playing cards, watching the Detroit Tigers, Florida winters, and especially spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
