The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dwight Township with Fr. Andy Booms officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 2:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 with Scriptures at 7:00 pm at the MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe and Wednesday at 10:00 am at the church until time of service. Karen is survived by her husband, Rocky; her children Robert (Marcia) Jordan, Jr., Amanda (Ron) Gusa, and Jeremy (Sarah) Jordan all of Bad Axe; a step-son, Grant Nichols of Bad Axe; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Mason Jordan and a new granddaughter due in August, Abigail and Aiden Gusa, and Madison Jordan; Godchildren, Sheri Broyles and Aiden Gusa; seven sisters, Frances Wlash of Sterling Heights, Virginia (Harvey) Lubeski of Bad Axe, JoAnne (Tom) Butch of Elkton, Theresa (Richard) Schmidt of Bad Axe, Mari (Patrick) Siemen of Caseville, Marlene (Jim) Yokom of Algonac, Edna Miller of Sunrise, FL; three brothers, Michael (Joan) Prill of Sterling Heights, Joseph (Mary) Prill of Bad Axe, Ed Prill of Kinde; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amy Sue Jordan, a brother, John Prill, a brother and sister in-law, Alex and Florence Prill, and a brother in-law, Mike Walsh.
Karen P. (Prill) Nichols, 54, resident of Bad Axe, became an angel in heaven Sunday, June 16, 2013 with her loving family by her side at home. She was born March 17, 1959 in Bad Axe to the late Alex and Regina (Vigenski) Prill. Karen and Rocky Nichols were united in marriage on September 21, 2007. She was an Optician in Bad Axe and Sandusky. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, couponing, watching the Detroit Tigers and bird watching especially Cardinals.
