Memorial service will be at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel in Bad Axe, on Wednesday September 27 th at 11:00 with Pastor Carol Corbishley officiating. Gathering will be Tuesday September 26 th at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel in Bad Axe from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00, and Wednesday at the Mac Chapel from 9:00 until the time of service at 11:00. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara of Bad Axe, two sons, Jeremy (Penny Reese ) Ross of Bad Axe, Charles Mierendorff of Harbor Beach; grandchildren Daniel Susalla, Andrew Mierendorff, Seth and Parker Reese. Sisters Karen (Duey) Holz, Filion, Kathy (John ) Holz, Bad Axe, Shirley Bredow of Caseville, Carol Corbishley , Bad Axe; brother Kevin (Jolynn) Ross of Elkton. Sister-in-law Donna Ross of Traverse City, and Lorraine (Jerry) Potter of Bradenton, Florida. Brother- in- law Martin (Rebecca Sommer) LaCasse, Richland/Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary Ross and in laws Richard and Jeanne La Casse.

Biography

Kenneth Frank Ross, age 58 of Bad Axe, passed away unexpectantly at home on Saturday September 23, 2017. He was born July 16, 1959 in Highland Park, the son of the late Frank and Agnes (Schmitt ) Ross. He married Barbara LaCasse on July 22, 1995. Ken was a 1977 graduate of Bad Axe High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Panama for 3 years. He worked at Bob McCrea Farms, Tower Automotive and recently at Thumb Plastics. Ken enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren hunting, reading and doing puzzles, tinkering outside and he was notorious for making bonfires.
