Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, March 26th at the MacAlpine Funeral Home – Gage Chapel in Kinde with Pastor Kathy Grimes from the First Presbyterian Church in Kinde officiating. Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm on Wednesday, March 25th at MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde and from 10 am until time of service on Thursday, March 26th. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the American Cancer Society or the local food banks. Condolences can be shared at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com

Family of the Deceased

Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sheila; sons Kenneth (Maureen) Townson Jr. of White Lake and Allen Townson of Waterford; grandchildren Shannon, Rachel and Christopher; sister Barbara Autrey; brothers Daniel (Anne) Townson and John (Patricia) Parrish; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Ken’s special friends.

Biography

Kenneth G. Townson, 75, of Meade Township, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. Kenneth was born on October 2, 1939 to the late George F. and Adeline (Draher) Townson in Pigeon, Michigan. On January 8, 1962, he married Sheila M. Mikeworth in Bad Axe. Ken retired from General Motors. He was in the U. S. Air Force in 1959 – 1961. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, working outside, playing cards especially Euchre, and was a friend of Bill.
