Funeral Information

Funeral Services for Leroy will be Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Hope, with Rev. David Dodge officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Falls Cemetery. Visitation for Leroy will be Thursday, from 2-8 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Friday will be at the church, from 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A scripture service will take place Thursday, 7:30 pm at the funeral home. A white clover will take place Thursday at 7 pm at the funeral home. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Leroy is survived by his wife Alice Schave of Port Hope, children: Lori Schave, Brenda Schave, Larry & Cindy Strozeski, Dan & Candy Strozeski, David & Claudia Strozeski, Linda & Darwin Krueger, Rita & Ron Watts, Steve Strozeski, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and sister Phyllis & Elwin Will. He was preceded in death by a sons Terry Schave and Randy Strozeski, and siblings: Ken (Bernie), Don (Deanna), Beatrice (Hugh), Lee (Blanche), Paul Jr.(Elsa), and Doris (Nathan).

Biography

Leroy E. Schave, age 90 of Port Hope, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region of Bay City. He was born on December 7, 1931 in Harbor Beach to the late Paul and Beatrice (Hunter) Schave. He and Iva Hazel were united in marriage on April 19, 1952. Leroy served overseas for the US Army from 1952-1954, during the Korean Conflict. She preceded him in death on October 1, 1985. Leroy and Alice (Cadotte) Strozeski were united in marriage in 1986 in Port Hope. Leroy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, a Life Member of the American Legion, being a member for over 65 years, and the AmVets. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, wood working, playing cards, playing shuffle board, playing pool, working in the yard, and being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed wintering in Florida.
