She is survived by her daughter Theresa Riden of Hazel Park and son John Pearcy of Ubly; grandchildren Jeremy, Ronnie, Lynnette, Tim, Elizabeth, Megan, Eric and Haley; and great-grandchildren Isla, Kyrie and Karter. She was preceded in death by her son David Gabler and daughter Joanna Lyons.
Luise Pearcy, 86, of Ubly, formerly of Grant Twp near Elkton, passed away Tuesday August 14, 2018 at McLaren Thumb Region Hospital in Bad Axe. Luise Gabler was born February 24, 1932 in Weiden, Germany. She arrived in the US on Thanksgiving Day, 1956 first to Illinois and to Detroit in 1958. On January 13, 1960 she married Fred Pearcy in Waukegan, IL; he preceded her in death September 26, 1999. She worked as a seamstress and a cashier at Meijer Thrifty Acres retiring in 1986. In 1991 she moved to Grant Twp. Luise’s life was grounded in faith and service to the Lord. She always felt closest to God in her garden, tending to her vegetables and flowers.
