Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013; Fr. Craig Carolyn will officiate at the MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, Thursday. Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund. Condolences may be shared at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com

She is survived by her four children, Dale (Anna-Mae) Bambach of Ubly, Linda Wolschlager of Filion, Marc (Terry) Bambach of Kingston, and Cindy (Tom) Dubs of Filion; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dave (Shelly) Smith of Bad Axe; three sister-in-laws, Olga Smith of Livonia, Mary Bambach and Eleanor Bambach of Bad Axe, and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Russell; a brother, Frank Smith; a son-in-law, Thomas Wolschlager; and a great granddaughter, Bella Jane Bambach.

Biography

Margaret M. Bambach, 92, of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born on September 1, 1921 in Detroit the daughter of the late Walter C. Smith and Luella A. (Garfat) Smith. She was united in marriage to John Bambach on March 30, 1940 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1994. She was a lifetime member of St. Felix Catholic Church, Pinnebog. Margaret was employed for many years at Hamill Manufacturing, Bad Axe. She was also a member of the Tops Club of Elkton. Margaret enjoyed crocheting, shopping and card club. She especially loved spending time at family gatherings and just being around her family and close friends. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother
