Family of the Deceased

She is survived by her three sons, David Hey and his wife, Janie of Corvallis, Oregon; Thomas Hey of Manchester, Michigan and William Hey and his wife, Susan, of Lodi, California; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marge is also survived by her sisters, Genevieve Gracy of Bad Axe and Bernice Witkowski of Saginaw, Michigan; along with many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staffs at Courtney Manor, Meadow Lane and Residential Hospice for their excellent care over the years.

Biography

Margaret (Morell) Hey, 93, of Bad Axe, MI passed away peacefully on January 6, 2019 at Meadow Lane Assisted Living under hospice care. She was born in Sanilac County, MI on May 3, 1925 to the late Isadore and Josephine (Osentoski) Morell. On May 10, 1948 at the First United Methodist Church in Bad Axe, she married Robert E. Hey. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2006. Marge and her husband and son, Tom, owned and operated Huron Music Store in downtown Bad Axe for forty years. She played tennis and golf and was an excellent bowler as well in her early years. One of Marge’s passions in life was playing cards, especially bridge at which she was one of the best of the game. She was also a breast cancer survivor.
