Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 123 W. Irwin St. Bad Axe with Pastor Kenneth Lueke officiating. A gathering for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Memorials may be offered to the Family Discretionary Fund. Marie is survived by her husband, Wilmer Wolschlager of Bad Axe; a son, Johnathon Rice, of Grayling and Bryan Bevier who passed away later in Saginaw from injuries sustained in the accident; two daughters, Ashleigh Rice and Samantha Rice of Grayling ; brothers and sisters, Steve (Rhonda) Geiger of Palms, Paul Geiger and Jennifer Reid of Palms, Brian (Tricia) Geiger of Palms, Carrie Collins and Norman Penzien of Deckerville , Sharon (Jason) Parmer of Harbor Beach; Katheryn Wolschlager and special friend Roger Lampela, Angie and Doug Lampela both of Bad Axe, Kevin Wolschlager of Ubly, Curtis (Jamie) Wolschlager of Elkton, Anthony (Tammy) Wolschlager of Owendale, Duane (Mary) Wolschlager of Filion, Terry (Susan) Wolschlager of Kinde, Larry (Martina) Wolschlager of Pigeon, Paul (Melissa) McDonald of Lansing, 4 great nephews, 1 great niece, several nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her parents.

Biography

Marie Janice Wolschlager, age 42, of Bad Axe, passed away, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Huron Medical Center from injuries sustained in a car accident in Sheridan Township on Monday. She was born February 12, 1972 in Deckerville, MI to the late Stanley B. and Norma J. (Dreher) Geiger. Marie was united in marriage September 14, 2013 to Wilmer Wolschlager at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bad Axe. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bad Axe. Marie attended Baker College and worked outside her home as a caregiver. She enjoyed scrap booking, sewing, puzzles, fishing and spending time with her children and many nieces and nephews.
