Funeral Information

Mass of Christian burial will take place Monday, April 20, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Howe officiating and burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. with scripture at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel, Bad Axe and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. They raised four children, surviving are three daughters, Genny (Mike) Feury, Janet (Dave) Armstrong and Sue Vaughan; eight grandchildren, Sherry (Paul) Essenmacher, Mary (Steve) Essenmacher, Dean Armstrong, Tracy LaHair and fiancé Tim McCoy, Crystal (Perry) Yaroch, Tammy Cook and special friend Tim Bosserman, Tim (Lisa) Burkhard and Heather Burkard; Eleven great grandchildren Brian Essenmacher, Kevin Essenmacher and his special friend, Jenn Giddings, Gary Essenmacher, Kristi Essenmacher and her fiancé, Steve Miller, Kati Essenmacher and her fiancé, Josh Zang, Lindsay Essenmacher, Lisa Essenmacher, Chelsea Yaroch, Bailey Cook, Abby and Lexie Burkhard, five great, great grandchildren, Tanner and Oaklee Miller, Parker Essenmacher, Logan Siewert and Joslyn Hessling; two sisters, Verna Romzek and Lillian Kranz; one brother, Melvin Nowiski. She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene; grandson, Mark Armstrong; brothers, Roman, Ervin, Elmer and Isadore and two sisters, Genevieve and Mary Ann; sisters in-law Eleanor, Mildred, MaryLou and Frances.

Biography

Martha Mary “Grammie” Fealko age 99, passed away on April 16, 2015. She went to be with her Lord and her family and friends in Heaven. She was born September 11, 1915, the daughter of Ted and Mary (Shubert) Nowiski. Martha married Paul Fealko on January 16, 1937. Paul preceded her in death on August 25, 1998. Martha was a faithful Detroit Tigers fan. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren playing all their sports. She enjoyed eating at Wendy’s. Martha was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She worked at Huron Tool and Engineering, Cleaning their offices for many years and she worked for Sacred Heart Parish cleaning the church and the Priest’s house until she retired at the age of 95. Martha lived alone until February 2014, when she moved into Courtney Manor. Martha would have been 100 on September 11, 2015.
