Funeral Information

Funeral Mass for Marv will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11 am at Ruth’s Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, with Fr. Matt Federico officiating. Burial will be conducted in the spring. Visitation for Marv will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 in the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Face masks are highly encouraged. Family of the Deceased

Marv is survived by his wife Rosean Groth and their daughters Brandy (Tom) Messing of Ruth and Theresa (Scott) Joynt and granddaughter Addison Joynt of Delaware, Ohio. Also surviving is his sister Linda Mausolf, brother-in-laws Albert Gusa, Anthony Gusa and Steve Schumacher, sister-in-laws Veronica (Bob) Dallas, Marie (Arnold) Kessel, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marv was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Mary Schumacher, his brother-in-law, James Mausolf and father and mother in-law Albert and Florence Gusa.

Biography

MARVIN GROTH, age 74 of Harbor Beach, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born on December 16, 1946 in Bad Axe, to the late Fred & Angeline (Holdwick) Groth. Marv and Rosean Gusa were united in marriage on October 25, 1975 in Harbor Beach. He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. He enjoyed fishing, garage sale-ing, playing euchre and spending time with his “little darling” granddaughter.
