Funeral mass for Marvin will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. Don Eppenbrock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for Marvin will be on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church beginning at 10am until time of services at 11:30 am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Monday at 7 pm at the funeral home. Marvin is survived by his wife Patricia Hessling of Harbor Beach, and children: Jim Hessling and his wife Sue of Harbor Beach, Joe Hessling and his wife Tracy of Bad Axe, Norman Hessling and his wife Karen of Elkton, Michael Hessling and his wife Pam of Harbor Beach, Jason Hessling and his wife Amber of Harbor Beach, and Melissia Hessling and Robert of Ruth. 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his siblings: Marie Hagedon of Westland, Doris Hagedon of Harbor Beach, Gladys (Ken) Mosey of Harbor Beach, Magdaline Gehring of Bridgeport, Margie (Earl) Grates of Shelby Twp, Lorraine (Albert) Prill of Shelby Township, Joan (Mike) Prill of Sterling Heights, and Norma Hessling of Bad Axe, sisters-in-law: Eileen (Robert) Godenau of Frasier, Karen (Jim) Koroleski of Kinde, Alger (Janet) Kozlowski of Georgia, and brother-in-law Daivd Kozlowski of Kinde. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents: Norm & Bernetta Hessling, his daughter Connie, granddaughter Samantha, Grandson Jacob, his sister Anne, his twin brother Melvin, and brothers-in-law Ralph & Charles Hagedon, and John Gehring.
MARVIN J. HESSLING, age 69, of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Harbor Beach Community Hospital. He was born on December 10, 1946 in Bad Axe to the late Norman and Bernetta (Messing) Hessling. He and Patricia Kozlowski were united in marriage on May 27, 1967 in St. Michael’s Church of Port Austin. Marvin farmed all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, telling jokes, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
