Visitation will be Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm. The funeral service will be Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 1pm until the time of service at 2pm. Mary Lou is survived by her 4 children: Scott Adam, Mark (Deb) Adam, Brian (Tina) Adam all of Sebewaing, and Lynette (Eric) Ballard of Unionville; 7 grandchildren: Emma Kauffold, Garrett Adam, Wyatt Kauffold, Maddie Adam, Lauren Adam, Jake Adam and Ruby Kauffold; siblings: Tom (Annette) Schweitzer, Janet (Lee) Truemner, Ella May Schweitzer, and David Schweitzer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Carl) Seibel, Mary (Kurt) Kelly and the late Lloyd (survived by Evelyn) Adam.

Biography

Mary Lou Adam, age 75, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Vadavilla AFC Home in Unionville. Mary Lou was born October 9, 1943, in Bay Port, to Woodrow and Hildred (Collins) Schweitzer. She married Larry Adam on August 24, 1963, at Kilmanagh United Methodist Church. Larry preceded her in death on November 24, 2016. Mary Lou was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing where she was active in the Mary Martha Guild, Immanuel Steven Ministries, and years ago in the Hand Bell Choir. She loved working as the manager for Center Street Memories in Sebewaing, tending to her flowers, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and decorating. She was also a member of the local Hobbie Club, Sebewaing Beautification Committee and Farm Bureau.
