Funeral Information

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Port Austin, with Fr. Andrew Booms, Pastor officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at MacAlpine Funeral Home - Gage Chapel, Kinde, MI and Monday at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Memorials may be offered to the Port Austin Historical Society or the Port Austin Township Library.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Rory Andreski of Port Austin and Jeffrey (Christie) Andreski and their son, Conner of Port Hueneme, California; her father, Harry Clancy of Port Austin; her siblings, Barbra (Edward) Gottschalk of Ann Arbor, Thomas Clancy of Port Austin, Sally (John) Pollock of Northville, Donna (Patrick) Provot of Mentor, Ohio, Harriet Clancy of Rochester and Debbie Clancy of Ann Arbor; several nieces and nephews, Adam (Anne) Gottschalk of Chicago, Jon Gottschalk of Ann Arbor, Sean Pollock of East Lansing, Erin Pollock of Grand Rapids, Kelly Provot of Seattle, Washington, and Tom Provot of Mentor, Ohio. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Chris.


She was born February 9, 1952 to Harry and Christine (Kennedy) Clancy. Mary graduated from Port Austin High School and attended Central Michigan University before returning home to work at her family’s business, Clancy Brothers Excavating, later serving as Port Austin Township Treasurer. She was a vibrant outspoken woman who loved to work and help people solve problems. Mary also enjoyed traveling, was an excellent cook and took great care and satisfaction in raising her two sons, and spending time with her grandson.
