Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Monday, October 24 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Parish of Freiburg. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Ignatius Cemetery. Michael is survived by one sister, Irene R. Olczak of Ubly and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hugh, James and John; three sisters, Helen Bulla, Josephine Bulla and Florence Sweeney

Biography

Mr. Michael D. Bulla, 87 of Austin Township, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw. He was born on December 7, 1928 in Austin Township to the late John D. and Catherine (Gillis) Bulla. Michael attended the Cumber School and was a graduate of Ubly High School. He served in the US Navy as a sonar operator on the ship during the Korean War. While in the Navy, Michael and other military personnel had an audience with the Pope. Michael paid his own way through engineering school at Michigan State University by barbering on vacations. He was a member of two honor societies while he attended MSU. Michael worked at General Motors in Flint until his retirement.
