Funeral mass for Millie will be Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation for Millie will be Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 1-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Friday will be at the church beginning at 10am until time of services at 11:30 am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Thursday, at 7pm at the funeral home. She is survived by her children: Karen Dore and her husband Ron of Deckerville, Dennis Kozfkay and his wife Vicki of Parisville, Donnie Kozfkay of Harbor Beach, Daniel Kozfkay and his wife Tammy of Bad Axe, Kimberly Sengstock and her husband Daryl of Port Hope, Dean Kozfkay and his wife Lisa of harbor Beach, and Kathy Elliott and her husband Shane of Palms, 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and her siblings: Lylan Kucharczyk of Gagetown, Delores Pawlowski of Harbor Beach, Pat Emerick and her husband Jack of Port Hope, Shirley Messing and her husband Alan of Ruth, Charles Swartz and his wife Judy of Harbor Beach, Bob Swartz and his wife Sherry of Harbor Beach, Jim Swartz and his wife Rita of Harbor Beach, and Fred Swartz and his wife Glenda of Harbor Beach. Millie was preceded in death by a great grandson Joel.
MILDRED ANN KOZFKAY, age 77 of Harbor Beach, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born on July 10, 1937 in Harbor Beach to the late Norman and Angeline (Schroeder) Swartz. Millie and Norbert Kozfkay were united in marriage on June 2, 1956. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2012. Millie worked as a waitress for over 50 years. She served at Klump’s Restaurant, Randolph’s Restaurant, and Al’s Restaurant. She also worked as a meat cutter with her husband for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Harbor Beach Lioness Club. Millie enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo and enjoyed serving everyone in the restaurants with her big smile.
