Funeral Information

Keeping with Norma's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11am. at St. Paul Episcopal Church of Bad Axe. Officiating will be Rev. Elsa Pressentin. Interment will be in Colfax Cemetery. Norma's family will receive visitors at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be offered to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Family of the Deceased

Surviving are 2 sons; Bill Collon of Rochester Hills and Tom Collon of Bad Axe. A niece; Barb (Brian) Brockie of Jackson. 2 nephews; John (Maureen) Huston of Venice, FL. and Pete (Linda) Huston of Howell. She was predeceased by a sister; Marion Huston.

Biography

Norma l. Collon age 90 of Bad Axe, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, September 25 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. She was born on April 21, 1923 in Bad Axe, the daughter of the late Albert and Ann (Nelson) Hass. She married William T. Collon on April 6, 1946 in St. Paul Episcopal Church of Bad Axe. He preceded her in death in February of 1974. Norma was a member of the Bad Axe High School Class of 1941 and the Alma College Class of 1945. She taught school at Elkton Elementary and George E. Green Elementary School for 23 years.
