Funeral services will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Colwood Church in Caro with Pastor Ronald Wigand officiating. Burial will follow at the Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Colwood Church or Heritage Hill Assisted Living. Orville is survived by his wife, Pauline Weidman; his four children, Carol & Jack Green of Eaton Rapids, Neil & Gayle Weidman of Midland, Dale & Maryke Weidman of Cass City, Denise Weidman of Saginaw; Pauline’s three children, Linda & John Smentek of Caro, LaDonna & Paul Bliss of Caro, Randy & Deborah Brown of Akron, Ohio; five grandsons, Jason, Chad (Cori), Derek, Kyle, Jared; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Orville E. Weidman of Caro, age 94, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Caro Community Hospital. Orville was born April 8, 1919 in Windsor Township, Huron County, Michigan, the son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Staehli) Weidman. He was a WWII veteran, having served with the Army Air Force. Orville was united in marriage with Marjorie Bueschlen on March 20, 1948. She preceded him in death on September 13, 2005. He then married Pauline (Hendrick) Brown on April 22, 2006 in Caro, and she survives him. Orville was employed at Michigan Sugar Company as an Agricultural Field Manager until his retirement. He enjoyed working in his yard and his family was his priority. He was a member and very active in the Colwood Church of Caro.
