Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am on Tuesday, December 6th at St. Roch Church/Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish with Fr. Robert Pare officiating. Burial will take place at Caseville Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 pm on Monday, December 5th at the Champagne Funeral Home in Caseville. Visitation will also at the church on Tuesday, December 6th from 10am until time of service. Patricia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leonard Pilato of Lake Township; son: Sam (Cindy) Pilato of Plymouth; daughters: Denise (Thomas) Pilato-Whipple of Holly and Jeanette (Michael) Maass of Ypsilanti; grandchildren: Emily, Roy, Bronson, Terra, Lindsey, Courtney and Matt; great grandchildren: Jackson, Annalia, Alli, Cameron, Ryan and Carter; sisters: Mary Ellen (Ron) McDonald of Port Hope and Kay Johnston of Bad Axe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Engler and Lois Howard.
Patricia F. Pilato, 83, of Lake Township, formerly of Detroit, Royal Oak and Troy, passed away suddenly but peacefully on November 30, 2016, at Huron County Medical Care Facility under Compassus Hospice care. Patti was born in Owendale on October 18, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Evelyn (Henderson) Dufty. She graduated from Owendale High School in 1950. On January 26, 1952, she married the love of her life, Leonard J. Pilato in Detroit. Patti was a member of St. Roch Church/Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. She was in a private book club in Caseville and in the F.O. Eagles # 3690. Patricia enjoyed collecting and polishing rocks and fossils, especially Petoskey stones. She was a great cook, known especially for her soups, a Holocaust aficionado, and a professional shopper. Patti loved her pet cat, Nardo.
