Funeral Information

Per Paula’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. on Monday, August 29th at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel in Bad Axe with Rev. William O’Nan officiating. A gathering will be from 5 – 8 P.M. on Sunday, August 28th at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel and from 10 A.M. until time of service on Monday. Paula’s family would like to thank her many friends and co-workers in Lancaster, Ohio for their tremendous love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Forest Rose School (1592 Granville Pike, Lancaster, OH 43130). Condolences can be shared at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com

Paula is survived by her daughter, Maizie Bleu Rigsby of Columbus, Ohio; her mother, Bernie Gay of Bad Axe; brother, Greg Gay of Lake Ann, MI; sisters, Lori (Randy) Stone of Bad Axe and Shelly Gay (special friend, Steve Weiler) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; nephew, Nicholas; nieces, Shannon, Caitlin, Randilyn and Kelsey; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Biography

Paula Ann Gay, 48, of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2016 with her family by her side. Paula was born in Bad Axe on March 8, 1968 to Bernie (Klee) and the late Kenneth Gay. She graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1986. Paula received her Associate’s Degree from St. Clair Community College. She was an avid University of Michigan football fan, enjoyed traveling and working with disabled children as an instructor assistant
